About
Why does this website even exist?
Because apparently buying a Garmin and simply using the perfectly functional watch faces already available was not an option.
What started as a small idea to make my watch look a bit more like Kingdom Come: Deliverance quickly turned into hours of tweaking icons, testing layouts, arguing with tiny pixels, inventing medieval versions of health stats, and wondering whether a Body Battery really needed to feel like a character condition.
It did.
Somewhere along the way, the project became much more than a novelty watch face. I started trying to make the data itself feel like it actually made sense and become usable. You know, like the actual purpose of such a watch like the Garmin Forerunner 70 I purchased. Buffs and debuffs appeared. Sunrise and sunset became part of the dial. Ordinary Garmin stats started looking suspiciously like something Henry might check before deciding whether he was fit enough to get into another completely avoidable tavern brawl.
And then, naturally, it needed a website.
So KCDWatch.com exists because this project made me smile and excited about actually making something for once, and other people seemed to enjoy it too, so it felt worth giving it a proper home.
There is no grand commercial plan here. No council of wealthy merchants. No secret chest of groschen hidden under Rattay. Just one slightly overcommitted fan, a watch face that got wildly out of hand, and an increasing number of ideas that probably should have been ignored.
If you enjoy it, download it, wear it, share it, suggest things, report what I’ve broken, or throw a few groschen into the pouch if you really want to.
Most importantly, have fun with it.
Because if Henry can somehow survive bandits, bathhouses, dice games, drunken nobility, questionable herbal remedies and whatever Hans has planned next, then your Garmin can probably survive looking a little more Bohemian too.
