Welcome, good folk!

A little bit of KCD-inspired shenanigans. On your wrist. For Free!

KCDWatch.com is an unofficial KCD-inspired watch face project for compatible Garmin watches.

What started as an attempt to make a Garmin look a little less like a fitness tracker – and a little more like something Henry might have looted from a suspiciously well-equipped Cuman – has rather gotten out of hand.

This has since very quickly grown into a fully functional watch face with health, activity and timekeeping features, including relatively sophisticated calculations and formulas making the most of available Garmin watch data. The watch face isn’t just pretty. It’s actually useful.

Free to download. No mandatory payment.
Supporting the project is completely optional.

Important: Do not redistribute the files or assets available on this website. Always make sure you download the watch faces directly from this website. This ensures you get the most up-to-date files for the correct watch model, without any potentially harmful files or other funny business. The only examples of funny business you’ll find here are the excessive KCD references. JCBP! 🌞

Features

Latest version: v.1.0.1

32 different Garmin models are currently supported! You can check the full compatibility list here.

Key Features of the Watch Face

  • Time and date (I know, very fancy!)
  • 36 Garmin localisation languages supported
  • Location-aware sunrise and sunset indicators, allowing you to easily tell when the sun rises and sets, and how far you are into daylight
  • KCD & medieval Bohemia-inspired design including icons, typography and interface elements

Conditional Elements and Styling

The watch face doesn’t just look pretty. There are some carefully thought out formulas working in the background that make the most out of the available Garmin data.

  • Buff and Debuff-style status indicators allowing you to see at a glance how well (or badly) you are doing in terms of recovery and rest, daily activity, and stress
  • Active Heart Rate, dynamically changing to red when elevated, or changing into a skull if you happen to die and your pulse goes to 0 (or, if you happen to take the watch off)
  • Body Battery, dynamically changing to amber and eventually red when depleted
  • Daily Steps Count, dynamically changing to ‘buff blue’ colour when daily goal is reached

Buff & Debuff System Explained

Rest & Recovery

  • Blue Sapphire Buff: Appears when you’re particularly well rested and recovered.
  • Red Ruby Debuff: Appears when your recovery is especially poor and you’re thoroughly run down.

The Rest & Recovery buff will appear next to the bed icon.

Activity

  • Blue Sapphire Buff: Appears when you’ve been particularly active and are comfortably ahead of your activity goals.
  • Red Ruby Debuff: Appears when you’ve spent a considerable part of the day inactive and have fallen well behind your expected activity.

The Activity buff will appear next to the steps icon.

Stress

  • Blue Sapphire Buff: Appears when your stress level becomes exceptionally low.
  • Red Ruby Debuff: Appears when your stress level becomes exceptionally high.

The Stress buff will appear next to the heart icon.

Get Lost in the Woods in Style

Nothing says “experienced outdoorsman” quite like confidently marching into a forest, ignoring the path, losing sight of your companions, and only then remembering that Hans said he knew a shortcut.

Fortunately, your watch looks magnificent.

Boost your charisma on your misguided adventures and take a little piece of Bohemia with you on hikes, walks, other questionable expeditions and those innocent twenty-minute strolls that somehow end with mud on your boots, no phone signal and a completely different village in front of you.

P.S. Don’t actually get lost in the woods.
Use proper navigation, take sensible precautions, and remember that “Henry survived it” is not recognised outdoor safety guidance.
